About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring an Airport Retail Manager to run airport retail operations so that passengers find what they want and are served quickly before their flights. You will own sales performance, customer experience and the retail team.
What you'll do
- Plan sales goals around flight schedules, passenger flows and seasonal demand.
- Oversee store operations including stock, visual standards, billing and cash control.
- Coach retail staff on product knowledge, service and practical selling skills.
- Track sales, conversion and average bill value, and act on categories that lag behind plan.
- Coordinate with airport authorities and operations on compliance, security and access requirements.
- Prepare retail business plans and budgets with the leadership team.
What you'll bring
- 6–10 years of experience in retail operations, preferably including airport or travel retail.
- A graduate degree or an MBA, either of which meets the requirement.
- A strong record of improving sales and customer experience in retail.
- Team management experience in a busy retail setting with demanding service levels.
- Commercial understanding of stock levels, margins and retail budgets.
Good to have
- Exposure to duty-free or concession-based retail operations at airports.
- Familiarity with retail analytics and merchandising practices for small store formats.
- Prior experience in the aviation or retail sector.
