About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring an Area Retail Manager to run a group of stores, lifting their sales and standards together. You will oversee multi-store operations, support store managers, then plan the business for your area. Consistency across stores is what customers notice, which is why this role matters.
What you'll do
- Oversee daily operations across the stores in your area through regular visits.
- Set sales plans for each store, tracking performance against them every week.
- Coach store managers on team management, customer handling or operational discipline.
- Ensure stock, visual standards plus compliance are maintained consistently across stores.
- Plan area-level priorities, including staffing needs or local customer initiatives.
- Resolve escalated customer issues, protecting the reputation each store has built.
What you'll bring
- 6–9 years of experience in retail operations, including multi-store or area responsibility.
- A graduate degree is required for this role.
- Strong sales orientation with comfort reading store performance numbers.
- Experience guiding store teams as well as developing their managers.
- Good business planning skills with a practical approach to solving problems.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the retail or consumer sector.
- Exposure to opening new stores or turning around weak ones.
- Familiarity with stock audits or store compliance checks.
