About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support the running of a store while heading the sales floor in a retail and luxury setting. You will help drive sales, guide the team on customer handling, then keep the store presented to standard. The role is a close partner in delivering the store's results.
What you'll do
- Run the sales floor, assigning team members to customers or tasks as footfall changes.
- Track daily sales against targets, motivating the team to close any gap.
- Coach associates on product presentation, relationship building or closing a sale.
- Maintain visual presentation plus stock readiness to the agreed standard.
- Handle customer escalations with care, using good judgement.
- Support daily opening or closing routines, completing store reporting accurately.
What you'll bring
- 2–7 years of experience in retail sales, with some supervisory responsibility.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline; relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
- Confidence managing sales targets while directing a floor team.
- Strong customer handling with polished product presentation on a busy floor.
- An organised approach to store routines, stock checks or reporting.
Good to have
- Prior experience in luxury or premium retail stores.
- Exposure to inventory counts or day-to-day stock control processes.
