About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring an AVP – Retail Operations to direct operations across multiple cities in a retail and luxury business. You will own the operations P&L, set the business plan, then build the leadership bench that runs the stores. This senior role carries direct accountability for operational performance as well as client experience.
What you'll do
- Own the operations P&L, balancing sales, cost control or service quality.
- Set the yearly business plan for operations, cascading it into city-level objectives.
- Direct operations leaders across cities, building a consistent operating rhythm.
- Strengthen client management practices so high-value customers receive consistent attention.
- Review operational risks, compliance or store audits, acting on what they reveal.
- Work with senior stakeholders in merchandising, marketing or finance on joint priorities.
What you'll bring
- 12–16 years of experience in retail operations, including multi-city leadership.
- An MBA or PGDM is required for this role.
- Proven P&L ownership in a retail or luxury business.
- Strong team management with the ability to develop senior operations leaders.
- Sound business planning skills with a strong analytical approach to decisions.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the luxury retail sector at a senior level.
- Exposure to new store openings or expansion planning.
- Familiarity with metrics such as conversion or sales per square foot.
