About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Banquet Coordinator to keep banquet functions organised from booking to the final clear-down. You will manage reservations, pass accurate details to kitchen and service teams, and look after hosts on the day. The role helps every function meet the hotel's service standards.
What you'll do
- Record banquet reservations accurately, including dates, halls, guest numbers and special requests.
- Prepare and circulate function prospectuses to kitchen, service, housekeeping and engineering teams.
- Check hall setups against the function sheet before guests arrive.
- Act as the contact for hosts during functions, responding to requests promptly.
- Coordinate last-minute changes in numbers, menus or timings across departments.
- Maintain banquet records and follow up with hosts after events for feedback.
What you'll bring
- 0–3 years of experience in banquets, hotel operations or guest relations.
- A graduate degree or diploma, preferably in hospitality, hotel management, travel or a related field.
- Clear verbal and written communication with hosts and colleagues.
- Attention to detail with bookings, guest numbers and function sheets.
- A courteous, service-minded approach even on busy function days.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the hotels and restaurants sector.
- Familiarity with hotel property management or banquet booking systems.
- Exposure to food and beverage service standards in banqueting.
