About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Beauty Advisor to guide customers to the skincare and beauty products that suit them. Listening comes first in this role, followed by honest demonstrations and routines that customers can actually follow. Good advice builds the trust that brings customers back.
What you'll do
- Hold short consultations to understand each customer's skin type, concerns and daily routine.
- Demonstrate skincare and makeup with testers, explaining the order and frequency of use.
- Recommend a simple morning and evening routine rather than a single product, where it helps.
- Clean testers after every use and keep the counter stocked and orderly.
- Read up on ingredients and new launches so your explanations stay accurate.
- Note what customers bought and liked so the next conversation starts from there.
What you'll bring
- 0–3 years of experience in beauty retail, skincare advice or customer service.
- A graduate degree, diploma or relevant certification; exposure to beauty or skincare is preferred.
- Basic skincare knowledge and a genuine interest in beauty.
- Patience with first-time buyers who are unsure what they need.
- Confidence in demonstrating products to customers face to face.
Good to have
- Counter or shop-floor experience with beauty and personal care products.
- Familiarity with common skincare ingredients and skin types.
- Exposure to upselling through routine-based recommendations at a beauty counter.
