About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Beauty Consultant to give customers personalised skincare and beauty advice in store. You will assess needs, demonstrate products and suggest routines that customers can follow at home. Your knowledge turns a quick purchase into a considered one.
What you'll do
- Assess each customer's skin and beauty goals through a structured consultation before recommending anything.
- Demonstrate application techniques so customers go home confident about using their products.
- Build tailored routines that combine cleansing, treatment and makeup steps where appropriate.
- Suggest complementary products that complete the routine, without overselling.
- Explain ingredients and what each product does in simple language that customers can trust.
- Guide newer advisors on consultation steps and product knowledge.
What you'll bring
- 1–4 years of experience as a beauty consultant, beauty advisor or in skincare retail.
- A graduate degree, diploma or relevant certification; exposure to beauty or skincare is preferred.
- Sound skincare knowledge, including skin types and common concerns.
- Warm customer service and patience with detailed questions.
- Skill in product demonstration and in upselling that feels like advice.
Good to have
- Consultation experience with beauty and personal care ranges.
- Familiarity with makeup application techniques for different skin tones.
- Exposure to running in-store beauty masterclasses for small groups of customers.
