About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Branch Sales Manager – BFSI to drive sales performance at branch level across financial products. You will own the branch's sales pipeline, coach the sales staff working with you, and build relationships that bring repeat and referral business. Your judgement on where to focus effort will shape how the branch performs.
What you'll do
- Set priorities for branch sales activity and review progress regularly with the executives involved.
- Coach executives on customer handling, needs discovery and closing, using live cases as worked examples.
- Personally manage high-value or complex customer relationships that need a more senior conversation.
- Develop local lead generation plans, including referral partnerships and outreach in the catchment.
- Monitor application quality so files reach processing complete and approvals are not held up.
- Analyse branch sales data to find gaps by product or customer segment, then act on them.
What you'll bring
- 3–7 years of experience in BFSI sales, including time spent owning a branch-level or team sales goal.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, though relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
- The ability to motivate others and hold a steady sales rhythm through both slow and busy periods.
- Strong customer handling skills, including resolving complaints well before they escalate.
- Comfort reading sales reports and turning what they show into practical next steps.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the BFSI or insurance sector at branch level, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
- Exposure to cross-selling across loans, deposits and insurance within one customer relationship.
- Familiarity with compliance expectations around the fair selling of financial products.
