About the role

One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Business Development Manager – Education to win new business through consultative, needs-led selling. The role suits someone who treats every enquiry as a conversation about what the learner or institution actually needs, and who follows through until a decision is made.

What you'll do

  • Build a qualified pipeline of education prospects and decide where your effort will have the most impact.
  • Lead consultative conversations that uncover goals, constraints and decision criteria before proposing a solution.
  • Draw on counselling skills to guide prospects through their options honestly and clearly.
  • Own the follow-up cadence on open opportunities so that no promising enquiry goes cold.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations that connect the offering to each prospect's stated needs.
  • Review your conversion results regularly and refine your approach to improve them.
  • Maintain relationships with converted accounts so that they become a source of referrals.

What you'll bring

  • 3–8 years of experience in business development or consultative sales, preferably in education services.
  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline; strong relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
  • Excellent communication, with the patience to listen before recommending.
  • Proven ability to manage a pipeline and close opportunities through structured follow-up.
  • Sound judgement in relationship management with both individual and institutional clients.

Good to have

  • Prior experience in the Education & Student Services sector.
  • Exposure to counselling students or parents on course and career choices.
  • Familiarity with using a CRM system to track opportunities.
