About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Career Counselling Manager to oversee how students receive guidance on their education and career choices. You will set the standard for counselling quality, handle the more complex student conversations yourself, and build links with institutions that widen the options available to students.
What you'll do
- Oversee career counselling sessions and make sure guidance is accurate, balanced and student-centred.
- Personally counsel students and families facing difficult or uncertain career decisions.
- Review counselling notes and outcomes to identify gaps and improve the process.
- Develop institutional outreach with schools and colleges to bring counselling programmes to more students.
- Mentor counsellors through case discussions and specific feedback on their sessions.
- Keep counselling resources up to date on courses, entry routes and emerging career paths.
What you'll bring
- 4–8 years of experience in career counselling, student guidance or a related education role.
- Academically, a graduate degree or an MBA is expected.
- Empathetic, clear communication with students, parents and educators.
- Experience building working relationships with schools, colleges and other educational institutions.
- The ability to judge counselling quality and give constructive feedback.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the Education or EdTech sector.
- Familiarity with aptitude assessments used in career guidance.
- Exposure to running career awareness sessions for groups of students.
