About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Career Counsellor – Schools to bring structured career guidance to school students. You will work with schools to set up counselling, meet students individually and in groups, and help them make informed choices about subjects and future study.
What you'll do
- Work with school leaders to plan career guidance sessions that fit the school timetable.
- Counsel school students individually on subject choices, interests and future study options.
- Deliver group sessions that introduce students to different career fields and entry routes.
- Meet parents to discuss guidance outcomes and answer concerns about their child's direction.
- Maintain strong relationships with school coordinators so programmes continue year after year.
- Use institutional outreach to introduce the counselling programme to new schools.
What you'll bring
- 4–8 years of experience in career counselling, ideally working with school-age students.
- A graduate degree or an MBA is the expected qualification.
- The ability to communicate with teenagers, parents and teachers with equal ease.
- Experience building trust with school management and staff.
- Sound judgement and sensitivity when students are uncertain or anxious.
Good to have
- Familiarity with the subject streams students choose between after secondary school.
- Prior experience in the EdTech sector or in school-based guidance programmes.
- Exposure to presenting career information to large groups of students.
