About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Customer Relationship Manager – BFSI to own a portfolio of customer relationships and increase their value over time. You will understand each customer's financial situation, recommend suitable solutions and make sure service stays dependable. The role matters because long, well-handled relationships bring both loyalty and steady business.
What you'll do
- Manage a portfolio of customers, reviewing their needs and financial goals at regular intervals.
- Identify chances to deepen relationships through suitable products and well-timed recommendations.
- Generate new business through referrals from satisfied customers and through your own network.
- Handle escalated service issues personally and see each one through to a clear resolution.
- Coordinate with product, operations and credit teams to deliver on what you promise customers.
- Review portfolio performance and retention trends, and adjust your plan to improve results.
What you'll bring
- 3–7 years of experience in relationship management or consultative sales within BFSI.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline; relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
- The ability to hold informed conversations about money and keep customers' long-term trust.
- A consistent record of meeting sales goals without compromising on suitability for the customer.
- Strong judgement in balancing customer interests with the priorities of the business.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the BFSI or insurance sector managing an established customer book.
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations on the fair selling of financial products.
- Exposure to mentoring junior relationship staff on handling customer conversations.
