About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring an Education Counselling Manager to lead the counselling function that guides students toward the right programmes. You will raise the quality and consistency of counselling, step in on the conversations that matter most, and work with institutions to reach more students who would benefit.
What you'll do
- Set clear counselling standards and check that every student conversation meets them.
- Listen to counselling calls and sessions, then give practical feedback to counsellors.
- Handle complex or sensitive student and parent cases that need a senior voice.
- Improve the enquiry-to-enrolment process by removing steps that slow students down.
- Develop outreach with schools and colleges so that more students can access counselling.
- Report on counselling activity and outcomes, highlighting what is working and what is not.
What you'll bring
- 4–8 years of experience in education counselling, with some responsibility for reviewing others' work.
- Hold a graduate degree or an MBA qualification.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, and the confidence to coach.
- Experience managing relationships with schools and colleges that refer or host students.
- An ethical outlook that keeps student interest at the centre of every recommendation.
Good to have
- Exposure to building counselling scripts or guidance materials.
- Prior experience in the EdTech sector, ideally within a counselling or admissions function.
- Familiarity with tracking counselling metrics in a CRM system.
