About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring an Exhibition Operations Manager to run the logistics behind exhibitions, from venue booking to final breakdown. You will manage venues, vendors and build schedules, and lead the operations team on the floor.
What you'll do
- Plan exhibition logistics, including floor layouts, move-in and move-out schedules and access.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with venues, fabricators, utilities and security vendors.
- Coordinate venue requirements such as power, rigging, permissions and cleaning.
- Direct the operations team during build, show days and breakdown.
- Enforce safety rules and exhibitor guidelines across the hall.
- Track operational costs and vendor performance, and improve them edition by edition.
What you'll bring
- 6–10 years of experience in exhibition operations or complex event operations.
- A graduate degree, the formal qualification needed for this role.
- Strong venue and vendor management skills, including contract negotiation.
- Detailed knowledge of exhibition logistics and build processes.
- Leadership of operations teams working to tight deadlines.
Good to have
- Familiarity with exhibition floor planning and stand allocation.
- Exposure to fire safety and venue compliance requirements.
- Prior experience with a trade show organiser or exhibition venue.
