About the role

HappinessCue is inviting independent learning and study-skills coaches to join its expert network. Once the HappinessCue team has reviewed applications sent through CareerBricks, suitable coaches are invited to register on HappinessCue and work with learners who want to study more effectively, whatever their subject. This is an independent engagement, not employment.

What you'll do

  • Coach learners who book you on note-taking, memory techniques and active recall methods.
  • Help students build weekly study routines they can keep up alongside school, college or work.
  • Work through procrastination, focus and time-management habits using practical techniques.
  • Teach approaches to reading, revising and answering examination questions under time pressure.
  • Look at how a learner currently studies and agree one or two changes to try before the next session.
  • Encourage self-reflection so learners notice what helps them learn and can adapt it on their own.
  • This is guidance, mentoring or coaching. It does not include diagnosis or treatment.

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrable experience as a learning coach, study-skills trainer or educator focused on how people learn.
  • Sound knowledge of evidence-informed study techniques and how to adapt them for different learners.
  • An encouraging coaching style that builds a learner's confidence without overpromising results.
  • Consistency in keeping appointments and preparing properly for each coaching conversation.
  • Willingness to complete onboarding and verification on HappinessCue. Engagement terms are shared during onboarding.

Good to have

  • Experience coaching adult learners returning to study as well as school and college students.
  • Familiarity with planning long preparation cycles for competitive examinations.
  • Prior experience in the education and student services sector.
