About the role
HappinessCue is inviting independent study-abroad and admissions guides to join its expert network. You apply on CareerBricks, the HappinessCue team reviews applications, and suitable guides are invited to register on HappinessCue to help students weighing overseas study or a competitive admission see their options clearly. This is an independent engagement, not employment.
What you'll do
- Run sessions with students and families who book you to compare countries, universities and courses.
- Explain admission requirements, application stages and entrance test expectations for the routes you know.
- Read statements of purpose and application essays, giving specific feedback on structure and substance.
- Help applicants build a realistic shortlist that balances ambition, budget and academic record.
- Talk through scholarships, visas and documentation in general terms, pointing people to official sources.
- Close each session with clear next steps so the applicant knows exactly what to prepare.
- This is guidance, mentoring or coaching. It does not include diagnosis or treatment.
What you'll bring
- Demonstrable experience as a study-abroad adviser, admissions consultant or university admissions guide.
- Up-to-date knowledge of admission processes in the countries or programmes you specialise in.
- Careful, honest communication that never promises an offer, a visa or a scholarship.
- A sharp eye for written applications, including essays, statements of purpose and supporting documents.
- Readiness to go through HappinessCue's onboarding and verification. Engagement terms are shared during onboarding.
Good to have
- Exposure to undergraduate as well as postgraduate admissions.
- Familiarity with the standardised entrance and language tests that universities ask applicants to take.
- Prior experience in the education and student services sector.
