About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Fashion Design Assistant to support the design team in turning ideas into finished garments. You will research trends, prepare styling and presentation material, and coordinate samples and details. It is a hands-on role for someone keen to see how fashion design works in practice.
What you'll do
- Research trends, colours and fabrics, and compile mood boards for upcoming collections.
- Assist designers with sketches, specification sheets and trim details.
- Coordinate samples with sampling and production teams, tracking each one until approval.
- Style garments for fittings, internal reviews and buyer presentations.
- Maintain organised records of fabrics, swatches and design changes.
- Prepare clear visual material for presentations to buyers and customers.
What you'll bring
- 0–3 years of experience in fashion design support, styling or garment development; freshers are welcome.
- A graduate degree or diploma in fashion, design, merchandising or a related field is preferred.
- Good fashion awareness and a trained eye for colour.
- Careful coordination and dependable record-keeping across many samples.
- Willingness to learn from designers and take feedback well.
Good to have
- Internships or projects completed in the fashion, garments or textile sector.
- Familiarity with design software for sketches and technical drawings.
- Exposure to garment construction, pattern basics and fit sessions.
