About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Freelance Recruitment Consultant to take on recruitment mandates and deliver shortlists independently. This freelance engagement suits an experienced recruiter who manages their own time, keeps clients informed and delivers what was agreed.
What you'll do
- Take briefs on open roles and confirm requirements, timelines and deliverables before starting.
- Source and screen candidates through your own networks, referrals and job channels.
- Present well-assessed shortlists with clear notes on each candidate's fit and gaps.
- Coordinate interviews and feedback between candidates and client hiring managers.
- Plan your own schedule across mandates so that every deliverable arrives on time.
- Keep candidates informed at each stage and maintain accurate records of your activity.
What you'll bring
- 2–7 years of experience in recruitment, with a record of positions you have closed.
- A portfolio or demonstrated recruitment experience is preferred; a formal qualification is not mandatory.
- Strong self-management and time management while working independently.
- Confident client coordination and professional communication throughout each mandate.
- Honest status updates to clients when a mandate is proving harder than expected.
Good to have
- Exposure to recruiting across several functions, levels or industries.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or structured candidate databases.
- Prior experience in the Recruitment / Staffing sector, whether in-house or agency-side.
