About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a GM – Brand & Marketing to own a consumer lifestyle brand's direction and the commercial plan that funds it. You will carry accountability for brand reputation, marketing budgets and revenue contribution, and work as a peer to the business's senior leaders.
What you'll do
- Decide what the brand stands for next, protecting its identity while widening its appeal to new audiences.
- Approve major investments from the brand and marketing budget and track the returns each one delivers.
- Co-own the commercial plan with sales and product heads, linking launches and campaigns to revenue.
- Coach the senior people on your bench so they can run brand, media and content with independence.
- Champion collaborations and launches that refresh the brand without diluting its character.
- Report on reputation, reach and revenue to the executive team with candid recommendations.
What you'll bring
- 12–16 years in brand and marketing, including senior leadership of consumer or lifestyle brands.
- An MBA or PGDM, backed by long experience building brands that people choose repeatedly.
- Strong brand instinct balanced by a clear grasp of margins, forecasts and commercial trade-offs.
- Experience owning significant marketing budgets and defending how every major line is spent.
- A record of developing senior marketers who went on to run functions of their own.
Good to have
- Exposure to lifestyle brand collaborations with designers, artists or other creative partners.
- Experience combining long-term brand building with measurable, performance-driven marketing.
- Prior experience in consumer and lifestyle categories through several business cycles.
