About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a GM – Events & Experiences to lead its events business and own its commercial results. You will set direction, build strong teams and nurture key client relationships at senior level.
What you'll do
- Own the P&L for the events and experiences business, balancing revenue, costs and margins.
- Set business strategy and annual plans, deciding priorities, formats and investments.
- Build and lead teams across sales, client servicing, production and operations.
- Manage key client relationships personally and act as the senior escalation point.
- Put processes and controls in place that make delivery consistent and profitable.
- Develop future leaders and strengthen capability across the business.
What you'll bring
- 12–16 years of experience in events or experiential businesses, with senior leadership responsibility.
- A postgraduate management qualification: an MBA or PGDM.
- Proven P&L ownership and sound commercial judgement at business-unit level.
- Experience building and guiding teams that span several functions.
- Credibility with key clients and senior stakeholders built over many years.
Good to have
- Prior experience in an events or experiential agency.
- Exposure to ticketed events and to event properties a business owns outright.
- Familiarity with expanding an events business into new segments.
