About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Guest Relations Manager to take charge of guest relationships across stays and events, from the first welcome to the final thank-you. In this position you set the tone for guest care, settle the hardest situations and make sure no promise slips through the cracks.
What you'll do
- Plan arrival arrangements for VIPs, groups and returning guests, briefing the teams involved beforehand.
- Step in personally when a complaint escalates, and decide on a resolution that is fair to both sides.
- Agree upgrades, compensation or alternative arrangements within management's limits when plans go wrong.
- Run daily coordination with housekeeping, food and beverage and events so requests arrive as promised.
- Track every open guest matter in a shared log and chase colleagues until each one is closed.
- Contact key guests after departure to thank them, gather impressions and invite them back.
- Turn recurring feedback themes into practical service changes and share them with department heads.
What you'll bring
- 3–8 years of experience in guest relations, client handling or customer service across hospitality, travel or events.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, though strong relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
- Tact and composure under pressure, especially with demanding or disappointed guests.
- Negotiation skills grounded in judgement about what is reasonable and what the business can honour.
- Experience supervising or guiding a guest-facing team through busy periods.
Good to have
- A background in hospitality, travel or events where repeat guests matter a great deal.
- Exposure to CRM records or guest profiles used to personalise service.
- Familiarity with managing guest care for weddings, conferences or other large events.
