About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Head – Career Services & Industry Relations to lead how students are prepared for, and connected to, the world of work. You will set the direction for career services, build lasting relationships with industry, and work with senior stakeholders to make employability central to the student experience.
What you'll do
- Set the strategy for career services and industry relations, with clear priorities and measures of success.
- Lead the career services function and build its capability through hiring, coaching and development.
- Develop partnerships with employers and industry bodies for placements, internships and guest engagement.
- Represent the institution in senior conversations with corporate and academic stakeholders.
- Work with academic leaders to embed career readiness into programmes and student activities.
- Review placement and engagement outcomes and present insights to senior leadership.
- Open new business development avenues through institutional and corporate tie-ups.
What you'll bring
- 10–16 years of experience in career services, industry relations, corporate partnerships or education business development.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Proven team leadership and the ability to build capability in others.
- Strong stakeholder management with senior corporate and academic leaders.
- A wide professional network and the credibility to keep extending it.
Good to have
- Prior experience heading placements in a higher education setting.
- Exposure to setting up industry advisory or mentoring programmes.
- Familiarity with employability frameworks and student career readiness models.
