About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Head – Institutional Partnerships in education. You will drive the building of partnerships with institutions, look after the most important of them personally and develop a team that manages these relationships well.
What you'll do
- Set the institutional partnerships strategy, including which institutions to prioritise and why.
- Open and hold conversations with senior leaders at educational institutions.
- Structure partnership models and agreements that work well for both sides.
- Oversee relationship management for existing institutional partners and resolve escalations personally.
- Develop the partnerships team, building skills in negotiation and stakeholder care.
- Report partnership outcomes and pipeline progress to senior leadership.
- Represent the partnerships function at sector forums and institutional meetings.
What you'll bring
- 10–16 years of experience in business development or institutional partnerships, including team leadership.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Established credibility with senior stakeholders in educational institutions.
- Strong negotiation skills and a talent for long-term relationship management.
- The patience to manage partnerships with long and formal decision cycles.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the Education & Partnerships sector.
- Exposure to academic collaborations or other formal institutional tie-ups.
- Familiarity with how institutions approve, govern and renew their partnerships.
