About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Head – Retail Operations to hold the operational side of the business to a high standard. You will direct operations teams, set performance expectations, while making sure customers get the same quality in every store. This leadership role carries responsibility for operational results across the network.
What you'll do
- Direct operations, setting priorities for store performance, compliance or customer experience.
- Hold regional managers accountable through structured performance management.
- Oversee sales routines, including daily tracking, reviews plus corrective plans.
- Standardise store processes so that execution looks the same in every store.
- Develop operations talent, building succession for key leadership positions.
- Align operations with merchandising or marketing plans through senior stakeholders.
What you'll bring
- 12–18 years of experience in retail operations, including senior leadership of store networks.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong sales management with proven skill in managing performance across a network.
- Experience directing multi-layered operations teams through periods of change.
- Customer-centred judgement when making difficult operational decisions under time pressure.
Good to have
- Exposure to store audit frameworks or compliance reviews.
- Experience with operational cost optimisation across a store network.
