About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Hotel General Manager to lead the property and take full accountability for its profit and loss, guest experience and people. You will set the hotel's direction, steer every department and represent the property with senior stakeholders and key clients.
What you'll do
- Own the property P&L, setting the annual budget and reviewing performance with the hotel leadership team every month.
- Set commercial priorities with sales and revenue leads, balancing occupancy, rates and cost control.
- Lead the heads of department, building a strong leadership bench and a clear succession plan.
- Uphold guest experience and safety standards through regular walk-throughs, audits and follow-up.
- Represent the hotel with senior stakeholders, key corporate clients and regulatory authorities.
- Drive the annual business plan and the longer-term improvement priorities for the property.
What you'll bring
- 12–16 years of experience in hotel operations and commercial roles, including senior leadership of a property.
- A qualification in hotel management or an MBA.
- Proven P&L ownership and confidence reading and acting on financial statements.
- Broad understanding of rooms, food and beverage, sales and support functions.
- Leadership presence that wins trust from teams, guests and senior stakeholders alike.
Good to have
- Experience taking a hotel through a pre-opening or repositioning phase.
- Exposure to owner and asset management reporting requirements.
- Prior experience in the hotels sector as a general manager or deputy general manager.
