About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Hotel Operations Manager to lead the departments that deliver the guest's stay and set the operational direction for the hotel. You will balance staffing, guest service and cost, and work with senior management on planning for the year ahead.
What you'll do
- Direct rooms, food and beverage and support departments so that guest service is consistent every day.
- Plan staffing levels against forecast occupancy and events, keeping service strong and costs controlled.
- Set operational priorities with department heads and hold them to clear performance measures.
- Step in on complex guest service issues and decide on fair, timely resolutions.
- Build operational capability through structured training, cross-skilling and succession planning.
- Lead the operations section of the annual business plan and present it to senior management.
What you'll bring
- 8–12 years of experience in hotel operations, including substantial time managing multiple departments.
- A qualification in hotel management or an MBA.
- Strong judgement on staffing, scheduling and labour cost across a hotel.
- A guest service mindset backed by firm operational discipline.
- Experience presenting operational plans and results to senior stakeholders.
Good to have
- Exposure to large banquet or conference operations within a hotel.
- Familiarity with hotel management information and operational reporting systems.
- Prior experience in the hotels sector as a deputy or executive assistant manager.
