About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Makeup Artist Assistant to support makeup artists and help sessions run smoothly. You will prepare kits and stations, assist with client preparation and keep hygiene standards high. It is a practical role for someone building skills in beauty services.
What you'll do
- Prepare stations and kits before each session, with products laid out the way the artist prefers.
- Clean and sanitise brushes, sponges and surfaces between clients.
- Prepare client skin with cleansing and moisturising under the artist's guidance.
- Help with simple steps such as applying primer or setting products when asked.
- Welcome clients, make them comfortable and keep the artist informed of who is waiting.
- Track product stock in the kit and flag items that are running low.
What you'll bring
- 0–2 years of experience in beauty services; freshers with relevant training are welcome.
- A relevant professional certification or diploma, with practical skills you can demonstrate.
- Strong hygiene awareness and careful handling of tools and products.
- Willingness to learn by watching and assisting experienced artists.
- Courteous client handling and a helpful attitude throughout sessions.
Good to have
- Some assisting experience in beauty and personal care.
- Familiarity with common makeup products and their uses.
- Exposure to working in a salon or makeup studio.
