About the role

One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Merchandising Assistant – Fashion to support how garments are presented, styled and kept ready for customers. It is a hands-on role for someone early in a fashion career who wants to learn how good presentation helps product sell.

What you'll do

  • Help style mannequins and fixtures so outfits look complete and reflect the current season's direction.
  • Arrange garments by colour, size and category so customers can browse and find pieces easily.
  • Coordinate with the merchandising team on new arrivals, tagging, placement and replenishment of floor stock.
  • Assist customers with styling suggestions and point them towards pieces that work well together.
  • Keep displays tidy through the day, refolding and refreshing them after busy periods.
  • Note which items customers ask for or handle most, and share those observations with your seniors.

What you'll bring

  • 0–3 years of experience in fashion retail, merchandising or styling, with freshers who show real interest welcome.
  • A graduate degree or diploma in fashion, design, merchandising or a related field is preferred.
  • A good eye for colour, proportion and how individual pieces combine into an outfit.
  • Friendly, patient customer service and clear communication with shoppers and colleagues.
  • Willingness to do practical work, including handling stock and resetting displays when needed.

Good to have

  • Familiarity with current fashion trends and how they show up in retail collections.
  • Exposure to planograms or visual merchandising guidelines during studies or earlier work.
  • Prior hands-on experience in a garment, textile or fashion retail setting, even briefly.
