About the role

One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Merchandising Manager – Fashion to decide what goes into each season's range and in what depth. You will balance creative intent with numbers, so the right assortment reaches the right channels at the right time.

What you'll do

  • Build seasonal assortment plans by category, price point and channel, grounded in past sales and trend direction.
  • Work with buying colleagues to finalise option counts, depth and delivery phasing for each drop.
  • Monitor sell-through every week and recommend markdowns, reorders or stock transfers that protect margin.
  • Lead the merchandising team, assigning categories and reviewing their range plans before sign-off.
  • Negotiate with design and sourcing teams when a range needs rebalancing for cost or timing.
  • Prepare the merchandise section of the business plan, including open-to-buy and planned inventory levels.
  • Present range reviews to stakeholders and explain the reasoning behind each assortment decision.

What you'll bring

  • 6–10 years in fashion merchandising, buying or planning, including ownership of a product category.
  • An MBA or PGDM, with a solid base in retail management or business analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort reading sales data, then translating it into range decisions.
  • A clear sense of fashion trends and how customers respond to them at different price points.
  • Experience managing people and holding them to agreed plans, calendars and deadlines.

Good to have

  • Familiarity with open-to-buy planning and merchandise planning systems used in fashion retail.
  • Exposure to building assortments for both store and online channels at once.
  • Prior experience in the fashion retail sector across several complete seasons.
