About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Primary Teacher – EVS to help children make sense of the world around them. You will teach Environmental Studies through observation, discussion and activity, linking each lesson to everyday life.
What you'll do
- Plan EVS lessons on topics such as plants, animals, water, family, community and our surroundings.
- Use simple experiments and outdoor observation tasks to make concepts tangible.
- Encourage children to ask questions, record what they notice and discuss their ideas.
- Connect lessons to health, hygiene and caring for the environment.
- Assess understanding through activities, worksheets and project work, and track progress.
- Keep the classroom organised and engaging, with clear routines and shared responsibilities.
- Update parents on progress and suggest activities that extend learning at home.
What you'll bring
- 0–3 years of experience teaching EVS or science at primary level.
- A graduate degree in a relevant subject such as science; B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. preferred where applicable.
- Sound subject knowledge and curiosity about the natural and social world.
- Good lesson planning and classroom management skills for primary classes.
- Patient, clear communication with young learners and their parents.
Good to have
- Exposure to project-based or activity-based learning in primary classrooms.
- Familiarity with preparing simple teaching aids, charts and models.
- Prior experience in the Education or Training sector.
