About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Promotions & Activation Manager – Retail to plan and deliver promotions and activations that lift footfall and sales in stores. You will build the promotions calendar, run activations and work with business teams to show what each one achieved. The role brings structure and accountability to in-store marketing.
What you'll do
- Build a retail promotions calendar aligned with seasons, launches and category priorities.
- Plan in-store activations, including mechanics, materials, staffing and timelines.
- Brief store teams and agencies so each promotion is executed consistently and on time.
- Manage the activation team and agency partners, reviewing quality through store checks.
- Measure each campaign's results against plan and recommend what to repeat, change or drop.
- Prepare business plans and activation budgets together with category and finance teams.
What you'll bring
- 6–10 years of experience in retail promotions, trade marketing or brand activation.
- An MBA or PGDM, with a sound grasp of retail marketing and consumer buying behaviour.
- Solid understanding of retail operations and how promotions affect store workload.
- Analytical ability to evaluate in-store campaigns and present findings persuasively.
- Experience managing teams and external activation partners in store environments.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the retail sector across several product categories.
- Familiarity with visual merchandising standards and point-of-sale materials.
- Exposure to loyalty or membership-based offers and their impact on retail sales.
