About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Relationship Manager – Insurance to build lasting relationships with policyholders and prospects and help them choose suitable protection. You will generate leads, advise customers on their insurance needs and stay involved through renewals and service. Thoughtful advice here helps customers feel more secure about what the future may bring.
What you'll do
- Generate new insurance prospects through referrals, existing relationships and your own network.
- Assess each customer's protection needs and recommend suitable policies with clearly explained reasoning.
- Walk customers through proposal forms, disclosures and documents so every application is accurate.
- Stay in touch after issuance, supporting renewals, servicing requests and claim-related questions.
- Review existing policies with customers to identify protection gaps and suggest relevant additions.
- Track your pipeline and upcoming renewals, and adjust your plan to stay on course for sales goals.
What you'll bring
- 3–7 years of experience in insurance sales or insurance relationship management.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline; relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
- A sound grasp of life or general insurance products and the principles of suitability.
- The ability to discuss sensitive topics such as risk, illness and protection with tact.
- A record of building a loyal customer base through repeat and referral business.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the BFSI or insurance sector across both life and general lines.
- Familiarity with the regulatory requirements that apply to insurance distribution.
- Exposure to bancassurance, agency or direct channels and how each one works.
