About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Academic Counsellor to guide learners toward the academic programmes that best fit their goals. You will take on the more involved counselling conversations, bring experience to complex cases, and convert genuine interest into enrolment.
What you'll do
- Counsel learners on academic programmes, eligibility and progression routes.
- Use consultative questioning to understand each learner's background and ambitions.
- Explain programme structure, assessment and outcomes in clear, honest terms.
- Follow up with learners and their families until they reach a confident decision.
- Guide newer counsellors informally by sharing approaches that work.
- Maintain accurate counselling records and enrolment status for every learner.
What you'll bring
- 2–5 years of experience in academic counselling, admissions or education sales.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline; relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
- Strong communication and the ability to explain academic options clearly.
- Consistent follow-up and relationship management with learners who are still deciding.
- A consultative, ethical approach to selling academic programmes.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the Education & Student Services sector.
- Exposure to counselling for postgraduate or professional programmes.
- Familiarity with enrolment processes, eligibility checks and supporting documentation.
