About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Education Counsellor to guide students through course selection and admission with experience and care. You will convert quality enquiries into admissions, support colleagues with tricky cases, and keep the student experience consistent.
What you'll do
- Counsel students on course choices, comparing options against their goals and circumstances.
- Take on enquiries that need more experience, such as hesitant or undecided students.
- Guide students and parents through admission requirements and documentation.
- Follow up persistently but respectfully until each student makes a decision.
- Monitor your own lead conversion and adjust your approach to improve it.
- Share effective counselling practices with less experienced colleagues.
What you'll bring
- 2–8 years of experience in student counselling, admissions or education sales.
- A graduate degree; experience in counselling, sales or education is preferred.
- Excellent communication and the ability to build trust quickly.
- A strong record of lead conversion through honest guidance.
- Organised follow-up and accurate records for every student you counsel.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the Education or Training sector.
- Exposure to mentoring newer counsellors on handling hesitant students.
- Familiarity with a CRM system for tracking student enquiries.
