About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Event Production Manager to take large-scale event productions from technical design through to show day. You will coordinate technical teams, manage production budgets and direct production crews so complex shows run safely and on cue. The role sets the production standard others follow.
What you'll do
- Head production planning for large-scale events, including staging, lighting, sound, video and rigging.
- Coordinate technical vendors and crews, aligning drawings, schedules and load-in sequences.
- Run production meetings and technical rehearsals so every cue is tested before the show.
- Manage production budgets, approving costs and negotiating with suppliers on scope.
- Develop production managers, building depth and consistency across the production team.
- Enforce safety procedures for structures, power and crowd areas during build and show.
What you'll bring
- 9–13 years of experience in event or entertainment production, including large-scale shows.
- A graduate degree, combined with strong hands-on technical production knowledge.
- Detailed understanding of staging, audio-visual systems and show control.
- Proven leadership of production crews and technical vendors under pressure.
- Firm grasp of production safety, risk assessment and contingency planning.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the events or entertainment sector.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, venue plans and load calculations.
- Exposure to touring productions that move between several venues.
