About the role

One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Event Project Manager to run large event programmes with the discipline of a project manager. You will plan scope, schedules and budgets, direct project teams and keep stakeholders aligned through delivery. The role is about bringing order to complex, multi-part programmes.

What you'll do

  • Define programme scope, milestones and dependencies for large event programmes.
  • Build detailed project plans and track progress, risks and issues every week.
  • Manage programme budgets, forecasting spend and approving or rejecting changes.
  • Direct project teams across planning, production and logistics, clarifying roles and handovers.
  • Report status to clients and senior stakeholders, including risks and decisions needed.
  • Run post-programme reviews and turn lessons into improved templates and processes.

What you'll bring

  • 8–12 years of experience managing events or event programmes as a project manager.
  • A graduate degree or an MBA, with solid grounding in planning and finance.
  • Strong command of project planning, budgeting and risk management.
  • Experience directing multi-disciplinary teams toward fixed delivery dates.
  • Clear stakeholder communication and honest, structured status reporting.

Good to have

  • Prior experience in the events sector on recurring or multi-event programmes.
  • Familiarity with formal project management methods and documentation.
  • Exposure to procurement and contracting for event suppliers.
