About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Manager – MICE Business to run MICE groups and events profitably and to a high service standard. You will oversee travel and event operations, manage client servicing and vendor partners, and control budgets for each programme. The role holds together the many moving parts of business travel and events.
What you'll do
- Oversee MICE programme operations, including flights, hotels, ground arrangements and event sessions.
- Manage client servicing for corporate groups, from proposal handover to post-trip feedback.
- Negotiate with and manage hotels, destination partners and event vendors.
- Build and control programme budgets, monitoring costs and margins through delivery.
- Develop the MICE operations and servicing team in planning and problem-solving.
- Create contingency plans for travel disruptions, medical situations and venue changes.
What you'll bring
- 8–13 years of experience in MICE, corporate travel or event and hospitality operations.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as tourism or management.
- Strong vendor management across hotels and destination partners.
- Sound budgeting and costing skills for group travel programmes.
- Proven team leadership alongside hands-on client servicing for corporate groups.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the travel or MICE sector.
- Exposure to international group travel and its documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with reward trips, conferences and other corporate group formats.
