About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Manager – Retail Projects to lead store rollouts and refurbishments from approval to handover. You will control scope, timelines and costs while guiding the team and contractors who deliver each project. Well-run projects let new and refreshed stores open on time and to standard.
What you'll do
- Plan and lead store rollouts, setting milestones from design sign-off through construction to handover.
- Manage refurbishments of trading stores with as little disruption to customers and sales as possible.
- Apply project controls for budget, schedule and quality, and report variances early with recovery plans.
- Lead the projects team, allocating work and reviewing progress across concurrent projects.
- Coordinate architects, contractors and suppliers so luxury finishes meet the agreed design standards.
- Work with business and operations stakeholders to agree scope, priorities and opening dates.
What you'll bring
- 8–12 years of experience in retail projects, store fit-outs or rollouts.
- A graduate degree or an MBA, combined with practical project delivery experience.
- Strong command of project controls, including cost tracking, scheduling and change management.
- Experience heading project teams and managing contractors to a high finish standard.
- Sound business planning skills for a portfolio of projects running in parallel.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the luxury or premium retail sector.
- Familiarity with retail fit-out materials, finishes and snagging processes.
- Exposure to statutory approvals and safety requirements on store sites.
