About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Manager – Retail Training to lead how store teams learn to sell, serve and operate well. You will design training programmes, measure their effect on store performance and build the capability of trainers and managers. The quality of training shows up in every customer interaction.
What you'll do
- Design retail training programmes covering selling skills, customer experience, product knowledge and store operations.
- Lead the training team, setting the learning calendar and reviewing the quality of sessions delivered.
- Run induction and refresher programmes so new and existing store staff meet the same service standards.
- Link training to sales and performance management data to show where learning has made a difference.
- Coach store managers to reinforce training on the floor through daily huddles and observation.
- Work with operations and HR leaders to identify skill gaps and plan capability building for the year.
What you'll bring
- 8–13 years of experience in retail training, learning and development, or retail operations leadership.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- A practical understanding of retail operations, sales management and customer experience.
- Experience guiding trainers and managing a structured training calendar.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills with groups at every level.
Good to have
- Prior experience in a retail learning or training function.
- Exposure to training needs analysis and evaluation models.
- Familiarity with blended learning that mixes classroom and digital formats.
