About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Manager – Venue Operations to oversee event venues so that every event is safe, well serviced and well run. You will set operating standards, manage vendors and guide the venue team. The role is responsible for quality that guests and clients experience before they even think about it.
What you'll do
- Set venue operating standards covering setup, cleanliness, service and turnaround between events.
- Own venue safety, including fire, crowd and structural checks, drills and incident reporting.
- Manage contracted vendors such as housekeeping, security, technical and catering partners.
- Plan venue staffing and schedules for each event based on its scale and complexity.
- Work with sales and client teams to confirm what the venue can deliver for each booking.
- Prepare operating budgets and business plans for venue maintenance and improvements.
What you'll bring
- 8–12 years of experience in venue, event or hospitality operations, including leadership roles.
- A graduate degree or an MBA, with strong operational and financial understanding.
- Strong knowledge of safety practices and compliance for public venues.
- Experience managing service vendors, contracts and venue operating budgets.
- Leadership of operations teams across a busy events calendar.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the events or hospitality sector.
- Familiarity with building maintenance and technical systems in venues.
- Exposure to high-footfall public events and crowd management.
