About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Operations Manager – E-commerce to head fulfilment operations as volumes grow. You will set operational direction, build a strong bench of operations managers and work with senior stakeholders to keep delivery fast, accurate and cost-effective.
What you'll do
- Set the direction for e-commerce fulfilment, covering warehousing, last-mile delivery and returns handling.
- Develop operations managers, building their capability in planning, problem-solving and people management.
- Design the operating model and standards that keep fulfilment reliable through peak periods.
- Drive cost and productivity improvements without compromising delivery speed or accuracy.
- Negotiate with logistics and warehousing partners and manage their performance against agreed service levels.
- Present operations plans, risks and results to senior leadership with clear recommendations.
What you'll bring
- 8–12 years of experience in e-commerce operations, fulfilment or supply chain, including senior team responsibility.
- An MBA or PGDM qualification, which is required.
- A strong record of improving operational performance and reducing cost per order.
- Experience managing service partners and senior internal stakeholders.
- Sound business planning and analytical skills applied to operations data.
Good to have
- Exposure to warehouse automation, conveyor or sortation projects in fulfilment centres.
- Familiarity with delivery network planning, courier allocation and serviceability coverage.
- Prior experience in a high-volume e-commerce business during festive peaks.
