About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Senior Relationship Manager – Insurance to handle the more significant and complex insurance relationships in the portfolio. You will advise customers on layered protection needs, bring in new business through trusted referrals and set a standard of advice others can follow. Depth of judgement matters here as much as sales results.
What you'll do
- Handle high-value insurance relationships that call for detailed needs analysis and careful advice.
- Structure recommendations across multiple policies so a customer's protection works as a coherent whole.
- Source new business through referral networks, professional contacts and long-standing clients.
- Open renewal conversations early, revisiting needs instead of treating renewal as a routine formality.
- Share practical guidance with less experienced relationship managers on difficult or unusual cases.
- Review retention and persistency in your book, and act quickly on accounts at risk of lapsing.
What you'll bring
- 3–7 years of experience in insurance relationship management, ideally including high-value customers.
- A graduate or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, with relevant experience considered for some assignments.
- Strong product knowledge and the confidence to explain complex policy terms simply.
- Consistent sales delivery built on long-term relationships and a steady flow of referrals.
- Mature judgement on suitability, disclosure and the fair treatment of every customer.
Good to have
- Prior experience in the BFSI or insurance sector advising business owners or affluent clients.
- Familiarity with claims processes so you can stand beside customers when it matters most.
- Exposure to mentoring or informally coaching colleagues on advisory conversations.
