About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Store Manager to run a retail and luxury store and lead its team to strong results. As the person accountable for the store, you will balance sales goals, operating standards and the relationships that bring clients back. A well-led store gives clients a consistent experience on every visit.
What you'll do
- Run daily store operations, including opening, closing, stock control and housekeeping standards.
- Plan how the store will meet its sales goals and review progress with the team every week.
- Coach staff on customer handling, product presentation and relationship building.
- Build relationships with key clients and personally handle important visits and escalations.
- Prepare staff rosters that cover busy periods while keeping service consistent.
- Report store performance and stock issues, and suggest practical improvements.
What you'll bring
- 3–7 years of experience in retail, including time managing a store or a section of one.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline; relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
- Proven people leadership on the shop floor, including handling underperformance fairly.
- Strong sales and target management skills, with a weekly rhythm of review.
- Sound judgement in handling customers and resolving complaints.
Good to have
- Prior experience managing a store in the retail and luxury sector.
- Familiarity with visual merchandising standards and seasonal floor changes.
- Exposure to stock audits, shrinkage control and inventory reconciliation.
