About the role

One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Student Success Manager to guide learners and their families from first enquiry through to a confident decision and beyond. You will combine counselling with consultative selling, making sure every student understands their options and feels supported. The role matters because students who feel well advised tend to stay engaged with what they started.

What you'll do

  • Hold counselling conversations with prospective students to understand their goals, concerns and readiness for a course.
  • Recommend suitable programmes through consultative selling, explaining fit honestly rather than pushing a single option.
  • Follow up with enrolled students at key points to spot early signs of disengagement and step in.
  • Own a portfolio of student relationships and keep each record current with notes and agreed next actions.
  • Resolve escalated student and parent concerns, coordinating with academic and support colleagues for a clear answer.
  • Review conversion and retention patterns in your portfolio and refine the counselling approach accordingly.

What you'll bring

  • 3–7 years of experience in student counselling, admissions, academic advising or consultative education sales.
  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline; relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
  • Clear, patient communication with students and parents, including during difficult or emotional conversations.
  • A disciplined follow-up habit that never leaves a student waiting for a promised call back.
  • Sound judgement in balancing enrolment goals with what is genuinely right for each learner.

Good to have

  • Prior experience in the education and student services sector, ideally in a student-facing advisory role.
  • Familiarity with structured counselling frameworks or ways of tracking the student lifecycle.
  • Exposure to coaching newer counsellors on handling objections and planning their follow-up.
