About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Transport Operations Executive to manage daily transport operations and keep shipments moving to plan. You will coordinate transporters, track trips and maintain records, owning the details that decide whether goods arrive on time and at the agreed cost.
What you'll do
- Arrange vehicles with transporters for planned shipments and confirm placement at the loading point.
- Track trips in progress and update stakeholders promptly on delays or route deviations.
- Verify transport documents and collect proof of delivery for every completed trip.
- Check transporter bills against completed trips and agreed rates before they are passed.
- Handle breakdowns and other on-road problems by arranging alternatives quickly.
- Maintain transport records and prepare periodic summaries of transporter performance.
What you'll bring
- 1–4 years of experience in transport or logistics operations.
- A graduate degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, operations or a related field is preferred.
- Good coordination and negotiation skills when dealing with transporters.
- Accurate record-keeping across trips, transport documents and transporter bills.
- Steadiness when several trips run into trouble on the same day.
Good to have
- Exposure to full-truckload and part-load transport operations across different routes.
- Familiarity with vehicle tracking systems and trip monitoring dashboards.
- Prior experience in the Logistics / Supply Chain sector managing transporter relationships.
