About the role

One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Business Development Manager to own new business and deepen existing client relationships. You will decide where to focus, handle important conversations yourself and improve how the business development process runs from end to end.

What you'll do

  • Own a business development plan with clear priorities for new and existing clients.
  • Run pitches, negotiations and closing conversations with senior client contacts.
  • Manage a portfolio of client relationships, spotting chances to extend the work.
  • Review pipeline health and fix bottlenecks in follow-up or proposal turnaround.
  • Coordinate with servicing and operations teams so promises made in the sale are met.
  • Guide junior executives on prospecting technique and client communication.
  • Prepare forecasts that management can rely on, and explain movements honestly.

What you'll bring

  • 3–10 years of experience in business development, sales or account management.
  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline; relevant experience may be considered for some assignments.
  • A record of closing business and growing client accounts over time.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills in front of senior clients.
  • Good judgement on where to invest time and effort for the best return.

Good to have

  • Experience improving sales processes, proposal templates or pipeline reporting.
  • Exposure to deals involving several decision-makers on the client side.
  • Familiarity with formal account planning methods for larger client relationships.
