About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Leasing Manager to take ownership of occupancy across a property portfolio. Your remit covers deciding which vacancies matter most, personally closing the bigger deals and making sure renewals are never left to chance. Every well-judged lease strengthens long-term income and the reputation of the spaces involved.
What you'll do
- Draw up a vacancy plan that ranks available and soon-to-free spaces by demand, value and urgency.
- Run the commercial discussion on significant deals, covering rent, tenure, fit-out periods and escalation clauses.
- Cultivate a network of brokers and channel partners who bring you serious, well-matched prospects.
- Start renewal discussions well before expiry so that good tenants stay and terms are refreshed.
- Step in when a tenant relationship turns difficult and broker a workable outcome for both sides.
- Present occupancy, pipeline and deal-status reviews to management with clear recommendations.
What you'll bring
- 3–7 years of experience in leasing or property transactions, owning deals from enquiry to signature.
- A graduate or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field; for some assignments, relevant experience may stand in.
- Commercial sharpness in reading lease economics and knowing where there is room to concede.
- Composure in long negotiations with owners, tenants and their advisers.
- A methodical way of tracking expiries, renewals and open proposals together.
Good to have
- Prior exposure to commercial or retail leasing within the real estate sector.
- Familiarity with benchmarking rents against comparable spaces in the market.
- Experience of tenant mix planning for multi-tenant properties would be a plus.
