About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring an Accounts Receivable Executive to manage customer invoicing and the follow-up that turns invoices into collections. Timely, accurate receivables keep cash flowing and give the business an honest view of what it is owed and by whom.
What you'll do
- Raise customer invoices accurately, matching each one to the contract and delivery records.
- Track outstanding dues and follow up with customers politely, persistently and on schedule.
- Apply incoming receipts to the correct invoices and reconcile every customer account.
- Prepare ageing reports in Excel and highlight overdue balances that need escalation.
- Resolve billing disputes by gathering documents and working through them with internal colleagues.
- Keep organised records of invoices, receipts and customer correspondence for later reference.
What you'll bring
- 1–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing or collections work.
- A B.Com, M.Com or MBA in Finance, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills for ageing analysis and customer account reconciliations.
- Firm but courteous communication with customers about amounts still outstanding.
- Persistence in following an overdue balance through to the day it is received.
Good to have
- Exposure to credit control practices and the setting of customer credit limits.
- Familiarity with issuing credit notes and handling adjustments on customer accounts.
- Prior experience in the Accounting / Finance sector on the collections side.
