About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Corporate Communications Manager to manage how the organisation communicates with the media and its wider stakeholders. You will own corporate messaging, direct media relations and protect the organisation's reputation. The role often involves sensitive judgement calls made under time pressure.
What you'll do
- Develop corporate communication plans for announcements, milestones and leadership visibility.
- Manage media relations, building lasting relationships with journalists and editors.
- Draft and approve press releases, statements and leadership messages.
- Prepare spokespeople for interviews, panel discussions and other public appearances.
- Measure coverage quality and share of voice, and report the findings to leadership.
- Handle communication during sensitive situations together with the leadership team.
- Oversee the communications team and agencies, and manage the communications budget.
What you'll bring
- 7–11 years of experience in corporate communications, PR or journalism.
- A graduate degree or an MBA in a relevant field.
- A strong media relations network and polished writing skills.
- Sound judgement in reputation-sensitive situations and under scrutiny.
- Team leadership and confident management of senior stakeholders and their expectations.
Good to have
- Exposure to internal communications and employee engagement programmes.
- Familiarity with communicating sustainability updates or annual reports to stakeholders.
- Prior experience in corporate or services businesses with public visibility.
