About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Freelance Content Writer to produce written work on an assignment basis. The role suits a writer who manages their own schedule, keeps clients informed and delivers polished copy without close supervision.
What you'll do
- Take each writing brief, clarify its scope with the client and confirm deliverables and deadlines before you begin.
- Research every topic thoroughly so drafts are accurate, well structured and suited to the intended reader.
- Write, self-edit and proofread articles, web copy and other pieces in the tone the brief asks for.
- Plan your own workload across assignments so that each deliverable reaches the client on the agreed date.
- Send short progress notes and raise questions early, keeping client coordination simple and predictable.
- Revise drafts promptly after client feedback and keep a tidy record of versions and approvals.
What you'll bring
- 1–5 years of experience writing content, independently or for clients, with a body of finished work to show.
- A portfolio or demonstrated writing experience; a formal qualification is not mandatory for this assignment.
- Strong self-management, with the discipline to plan, start and finish work without reminders.
- Clear, professional communication in emails, briefs and feedback conversations with clients.
- Sound time management across overlapping deadlines and shifting priorities.
Good to have
- Experience handling several freelance clients, each with its own style guide and expectations.
- Familiarity with writing search-friendly web pages for digital audiences.
- Exposure to content development or language services work.
